Notes from Dumaguete
I've been here since Monday. I've been visiting this city many times already since maybe a couple of months ago. My girlfriend is working here, so I want to base here, too. But I haven't found work yet. It sucks to be a bum. I've been unemployed since late April, when I quit my job in a call center in Cebu.
Part of my Palangga's coverage area (she's a collector agent for a pharmaceutical company) are the surrounding towns of Dumaguete -- Tanjay and Bais in the North, and Bayawan and Sante Catalina in the South; Siquijor; Tagbilaran in Bohol, and other towns in the island. I've been to these places, too. I've been traveling a lot with Pangga since she got hired by her company. Very nice since I'm naturally a homebody. Meaning, I stay at home usually, or most of the time. I rarely venture forth to faraway places. Accompanying Pangga to these different places have been a nice experience.
I was born in Negros Oriental, so I'm no stranger to this place.
